Wageningen in 20 years: what do you envision?
Wageningen is developing an environmental vision for the city. This sets out what the city and its surrounding areas should look like in 20 years’ time, and identifies opportunities in the areas of housing, community life, health, the economy, climate, mobility and sustainability.
Environmental vision ready for adoption by the municipal council
We have drawn up an environmental vision. An environmental impact assessment (EIA) has also been prepared by a consultancy firm. Everyone was invited to submit their views on both documents. The vision and the EIA have been updated and refined to take account of all the feedback received. In May 2026, the documents will be submitted to the municipal council for adoption. Response report on comments and recommendations
We have summarised all comments and recommendations in a response report. This report also includes the council’s response to the feedback. The council adopted the response report on 24 March 2026. Click on the button below to read the response report.

Voorstel omgevingsvisie naar gemeenteraad
We verwerken de reacties op de ontwerp omgevingsvisie in een reactieverslag. We zetten erbij wat we met de reacties hebben gedaan.
Het reactieverslag gaat naar de gemeenteraad, samen met de definitieve omgevingsvisie en het omgevingseffectrapport. De gemeenteraad bespreekt de documenten en neemt een besluit. Na vaststelling door de gemeenteraad is de omgevingsvisie definitief en starten we met de uitvoering.
