The municipality of Wageningen is transforming the former Menzis site into a sustainable residential neighborhood with at least 320 apartments for starters and seniors.
- First homes: In “Building A,” the housing association will develop 63 social rental homes. Residents are expected to receive their keys in early 2027.
- Green and car-light: The neighborhood will be designed as a park-like area, with ample space for greenery, water retention, and pedestrians and cyclists. Cars will be parked as much as possible out of sight in a purpose-built parking facility.
- Sustainable: New buildings will be energy-neutral, and the neighborhood will be equipped with a shared heat system.
The goal is to create a future-proof place where social interaction and a green living environment are central.
